As most of Northern California knows, there have been raging wildfires for the past several months. Many evacuation orders have been placed, occasionally lifted then put back into place again due to the unpredictable nature of these catastrophic disasters. Unfortunately, not every animal has been able to get to safety and so our animal control officer along with our animal rescue team has been going beyond the restricted zones and pulling out injured animals. 

Every rescued animal has been sent directly to a veterinarian for evaluation and large vet bills have stack up fairly quickly. The Trinity Animal Shelter Auxiliary group who assists the shelter in paying these costs has set up a Go Fund Me ​specifically for these injured animals. If you would like to assist in helping our furry friends, please considering donating. Any amount you can give will truly be a blessing to the animals. If you cannot, which many can't during these hard times, sharing the link to the Go Fund Me page will also help in a big way. If you would like to donate food or supplies which the rescue team can transport into the evacuated areas, you can bring it straight to the Trinity County Animal Shelter located at 570 Mountain View St. in Weaverville, CA.

We know it has taken almost two years for us to get this website off the ground but here it finally is!! We have almost a dozen more pages we want to add but that will come later. For now, we feel we have enough information on here to satisfy our needs for a website. If anyone sees anything they think would help, please don't hesitate to comment with your suggestion or edit! :)
