We are aware it has been past the time we were hoping to have out new website open and available to the public but unfortunately due to what we at the shelter call our 'Licensing Season' we were very busy with lots of office paperwork and didn't have much time at all to work on the new site. We are finally passed that paperwork mountain and got caught up on everything so we are now able to continue working on it! We are now hopeful it will be completed and open by the end of September or early October.
Aside from getting everything on our new website all squared away, we have been talking about updates to the shelter itself, cosmetic stuff that will make our facility look a little more up to date with the times as well as a possible open house to invite the public to come to the shelter and play with the pets, enjoy a barbecue and maybe learn a little about what we do here at the shelter. This would also be an opportunity for us to formally welcome the new animal control officer into her new position and give a fond farewell to the previous one. We would be happy to give information on things such as fostering, volunteering, adoptions, licensing, our funding from TASA, what happens to stray / abandoned / unwanted animals and about that inevitable time of the year: kitten season. We are still tossing around ideas for the event but will update our Facebook page once more decisions and plans are set in stone.
